Upa Yoga

Upa-yoga is a simple yet powerful system of exercises that activate the joints, muscles, and energy system. Based on a sophisticated understanding of the body's mechanics, Upa-yoga provides great relief to the entire system. It relieves physical stress and fatigue. Upa Yoga is a good starting point for anyone new to yoga and can be used as a preparation for other yoga practices.

Within the human system, energy flows through 72,000 channels called nadis. Nadis meet at the joints and form knots, thus functioning as an energy reservoir. Upa-yoga activates this energy and lubricates the joints, providing an immediate feeling of alertness and liveliness. Upa-yoga essentially means "sub-yoga" or "preparatory yoga." Due to its many immediate and obvious benefits, the term Upa-yoga is commonly used in Indian languages to mean "useful."

I have learned a combination of Upa yoga and Surya Kria from Rav which I have now practised for two years.

It is the best maintenance routine I have tried to relieve back and joint pains caused by my Ankylosing spondylitis diagnosis (Bechterews disease) I need to put in a level of dedication but the reward is significant. My overall physical condition feels really good as well.

As a classical music professional, always exposed to the tensions of the stage, I had long been interested in techniques such as yoga to achieve the greatest possible relaxation when working. However, knowing how to work Isha Yoga has opened new windows and perspectives for me, not only in my profession but especially in my daily life. After participating in an ISHA UPA Yoga workshop, with Rav Sira and beginning to learn about Sadhguru’s philosophy through his videos , my way of approaching life has changed radically. Subsequently I have deepened learning Surya Kriya and I cannot imagine starting the day without my Isha yoga practice. Rav’s way of explaining and teaching is ideal, due to its simplicity and clarity; it is distinguished immediately to someone who loves what they do and knows how to transmit it. Yogafyr is really an incredible site for the practice of yoga in its ISHA Yoga aspect, totally recommended. Thank you for everything

Great course with very clear instructions. It was about a month ago I joined the course, and I’ve been practicing at home 2-3times per week since then .. i have noticed improved breathing and instant pain relief around my hip/lower back. I’ll continue practicing these exercises and I totally recommend the course to everyone. A big thanks to Yogafyr. Namaste �
